This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit joinvoyagr.app, join our waitlist, apply as a creator, or use the Voyagr app once it becomes available (collectively, the "Services").
By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly:
- Waitlist signups: name and email address
- Creator applications: name, email, social platform, handle, follower range, travel niche, and any details you share about why you want to join
- Support requests: any information you include when emailing Hello@joinvoyagr.app
Information collected once the app is available: when the Voyagr app launches, we expect to collect additional information necessary to operate the Services, which may include account and profile information, content you post, approximate or precise location (to power location-based discovery), booking and purchase details for itineraries or experiences, and payment information (processed by third-party payment providers — we do not store full card details). We will update this policy before that data collection begins.
2. How we use information
- To operate and improve the Services, including the waitlist and creator application process
- To communicate with you — launch updates, early access invitations, creator application status, and responses to support requests
- To process bookings and payments once the app is live, including through partners like Viator and Booking.com
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Sharing of information
We share information only as needed to operate the Services:
- Service providers — hosting (Netlify), email delivery, and similar infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf
- Booking & affiliate partners — Viator and Booking.com, when you complete a booking through the app, to fulfill your reservation
- Legal & safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Voyagr, our users, or others
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections
4. Cookies & similar technologies
Our website may use basic cookies or similar local storage to remember preferences and understand aggregate site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
5. Data retention
We retain waitlist and creator application information for as long as needed to run our pre-launch program and prepare for app launch, or until you ask us to delete it. Once the app launches, retention periods for account data will be detailed in an updated policy.
6. Your rights & choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from waitlist or creator emails at any time using the link in those emails or by contacting us directly. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the CCPA or GDPR — contact us and we'll do our best to help.
7. Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International users
Voyagr is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Voyagr grows — particularly once the app launches and we begin collecting additional data described in Section 1. We'll post the updated policy here with a new effective date, and for material changes we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you directly.
